評価し難いゲーム？である。ゲームと言うよりは、よくハリウッドの刑事モノ映画で取り調べの映像を熱心に何度も繰り返し見ては、容疑者の矛盾点や表情から推理するような気分にさせてくれるツールとでも言えば良いだろうか。 唯一無二ではあるが、推理アドベンチャーゲームとは一線を画する内容となっている。 英語字幕があり、比較的に分かりやすいものだが、 断片的な映像を頭の中で整理していく必要がある為、ある程度の語学力が必要となっている。 ゲームの性質上、日本語 字幕は絶望的と思われる。英会話の勉強にはなるので、辞書を片手にじっくり、ハリウッド映画の刑事気分に浸ってみては如何だろうか。

映像を検索し事件の真相を見つけるゲームというか映像作品なのか‥‥？ ただ大衆ゲームをあまり好きでない方にとってはダウンロードしといて損はないアプリです。 ただ新しい形態だけでなくクオリティも十分です。 有料で説明文だけでは買いずらい印象ですがいいアプリだと個人的には思いました。

スクリーン見て興味を持ったなら買いでしょう。操作性も問題ないですが、steam版もあるので忘れないように。

Too easy. My third search and it was solved.

Was not what I expected! After it’s solved then what? It’s a waste.

As others have said, there is no real ending. I wish I read the reviews before spending money but I didn’t want to come across spoilers. This could’ve been really cool but there is no closure. In the end, you’ve watched a bunch of videos and come up with an idea of what happened but you don’t get the satisfaction of finding out for sure.

As a big adventure game fan I was quite looking forward to playing this. I think perhaps this game has been too hyped up. The writing and story are very hacky, and I think people must have just been so dazzled by the presentation and nonlinear unfolding that they assumed the writing was good? It’s not, it’s very soap opera-y and has nothing much to say about the themes it tries to evoke. The character at one point says “aren’t these all just stories anyways?” which I think we’re meant to consider some kind of profound thesis statement for the game? All well and good, but the game isn’t terribly interested in exploring why people lie to each other and themselves beyond a sutface level “idk this chick’s crazy lol.” Disappointing! Runs great and the search function was a fun hook. Sadly loses its luster when it becomes clear your interpretation/understanding of the footage do not factor into any mechanical aspect.

This game consists of watching old police videos and searching database by keywords to find clues. Easy and enjoyable. Try to figure out who did it and what the real story is.

Maybe I did something wrong but how the game works is you write something and it will show you the first videos first. Too bad there’s a collection of video’s near the end where they all say yes but they won’t show since it shows the first and too bad there is literally no other word in that sentence. But that’s all they say so literally no matter what you do, you will never win. I think this a glitch only on mobile since writing “yes” doe’s nothing on mobile. I wasted 4 hours on a game you can’t even @00%

Bought this game about 3 years ago and still waiting for support for proper landscape orientation - listed on the official website as a “known issue” and “a fix is in progress” for the last 3 years. The app version history shows the last update was 6 years ago. Can we please get a fix for this or can I please get my money back?

Had to write a review. No perks to doing so like other games. I finished yesterday but I won’t really be done with this story for the rest of my life. People have been debating different pieces of it for five years. Yes the setup is unconventional in a world where everyone is used to being inundated with tasks and puzzles, but the simplicity of it only increases the mental challenge. Try it!

This was an instant waste of money. Seriously boring and I usually love mystery and puzzle games. You literally just watch clips that lead to nothing.

Seriously, why can’t I flip the screen? The whole reason I bought this game at all was so I could use with with my iPad keyboard (so I’m not struggling to tap each letter one...by...one on my touch screen), but evidently the game won’t rotate 180 degrees, even with my screen rotate unlocked. VERY basic function that just isn’t there. I wish I could refund this.

The game forces upside down landscape mode. Wanted to play using my keyboard, but I can’t. Sad it’ll probably never be updated.

This app has been super annoying because the sound on the videos does not work. At first there was no sound. Sound then worked briefly but stopped and have been unable to get any sound since on the iPad.

I never spend money on games but saw this on a top games of the decade list and it sounded intriguing. It is! But I also finished it in less than a day. Wish there was more to do. Love the concept, would love more puzzle qualities.

There aren’t many games like this. The developer came up with a second game with more characters but it was less involving and the story line was weaker, I thought. I really liked this game, I liked the storyline, the writing, the acting. I wish it were part of a series with the same format, one person of interest being interviewed and you comb through the fragments to piece together the truth. I really had a lot of fun with this one. Please send more!

While using my iPad keyboard (apple’s keyboard - not 3rd party), the app launches upside down and nothing can be done to change it. Would appreciate a fix for this, but seeing how it hasn’t had any updates in 4 years, I’m not hopeful.

If you drag the windows off screen there will be no way to retrieve them back on. You’d have to reinstall. Also the game kind of feels like there’s no end.

It’s a piece of art to organize the materials, leads to many possibilities, many are illustrated but one truth. However how can you tell in the end?

I loved the idea and couldn’t put it down. Sadly, I was done in one sitting. I think there should be something more.

It’s a bummer that the rotation is locked when playing this game — when using an iPad Pro with a folio keyboard, the game displays upside down. I was really looking forward to being immersed by the game’s retro computer interface, but I would have to use the onscreen keyboard, kinda spoils the fun a bit. I still would strongly recommend getting Her Story if you don’t intend to use it with the Folio Keyboard for your iPad Pro. UPDATE: This is a known issue and a fix is in the works

Great concept! Love the story and mystery. Only drawback is that operation can be a little confusing.

I bought this game thinking I would be able to piece everything together, that I would get to get evidence, not just look at a computer screen. I don’t recommend if you were looking for a real murder mystery

How the heck did this app win any awards?? It’s boring as heck! All you do is watch videos! There’s no actual game play! They could have done so much more with this to turn it into an actual GAME! Worst part of all....the developers are misleading in their discription of the app!! Making you think it’s an actual murder mystery game you can play. All lies. Very disappointed! I want my money back!

I'd read a rave reviews over the year and figured this must be good if it's sustaining these kudos. I finally felt this wouldn’t be a gamble to try out. I was really disappointing. The story is boring, uninteresting, and poorly acted. I tried to like and continue to play and explore. Not worth sparing the memory on my ipad or my own memory for that matter. Time to delete

I agree with a lot of folks that the concept is good but the execution is a miss. Firstly, this is nothing more than a search engine with limited results. Lastly, their is no payoff to the story and it doesn’t go anywhere. Sometimes simplicity is the best thing, but for this “game” it’s simply a miss.

I liked the mysterious nature of the game, but there is NO definite ending. You are never told anything or shown that you got to the end of the case or you have watched all the relevant videos. I kept waiting for something to tell me I solved it, but nothing ever did. It was only after I went online to chat groups that I figured out that I had solved the story literally the first day I started to play. I do not like games that have no sense of accomplishment or finality. The idea of the game is clever. But it’s ridiculous to not give it an ending or definite story. It’s like the makers want it to be so mysterious that they forgot to have an ending. It felt like they wasted my time because I kept searching and playing, thinking that there was more to the story because there was nothing telling me I had won or found all the videos. It’s also ridiculous that there are sites dedicated to the discussion of what the real story is. If no one is sure, then the creators have not told a tight, definitive story in the first place. If you are happy to just wonder and never know for sure if you’ve figured it out, this game is interesting. If you like closure, you might want to skip it.

Interesting story line and game play. The point of the game is to learn what happened... At least what Hannah said happened. If you believe her or not.... That's an entire other discussion

Unique, engaging, and satisfying. It’s not very long but the process is enjoyable. I caught on quickly as to what was going on, BUT it took a second play through to fit all the pieces together. Interesting concept. Need more games with charm like this. 2-2 4-3 4-3 4-2 2-2 1-1 2-3 5-1

This was interesting. Definitely well done. The acting was so believable and the soft sound fit the clips and were never annoying and loud. It was worth my money and time - kept me off my addiction to YouTube watching the stupid things Trump is doing globally! I even went back and watched every clip in sequence (shhh, there’s a hack for that but if you use it you aren’t playing the game - why spend your money? Buy a book. You will get a better story. This. Is a game). But I played and finished the game before doing this. My I’m complaint to the developers. Your credits are artwork in itself and I would like to be able to pause so I can read them - they run by so fast I’m the IOS Phone!! I’m probably the only one who cares (except all those contributor’s moms!) but can you give us a pause featur?

It would be a lot more fun if there were directions. If I knew you could only store a certain number of clips... I would have been more discerning. I didn’t see a way to delete them, so I had to start over. Ugh! I also don’t think there is a real end. I accidentally found the “whodunit” clip pretty early on which was a bummer.

Well worth the money despite its short length, with some unexpected twists thrown in. It's wonderfully satisfying piecing the mystery together from the "archive footage" the game provides, and you really have to pay attention in order to know what words to search for - I was consistently surprised by what huge plot elements were revealed from seemingly minor details.

Her Story is a different kind of game — other reviewers do a good job explaining what it is, but not all of them mention what little instruction exists. You literally have access to a computer terminal of clips and nothing else. Watching all the clips and searching for different ones seems to be the only thing you can do to figure out the story. On iPad, the screen is locked the wrong way (home button on the left) so it cannot be used effectively with most keyboard docks and an iPad Pro. This is a simple fix, just enable rotation. I’m surprised this game has been around so long and that fix has not been implemented yet. I will give Her Story a continued look and update my rating if my opinion changes.

Murder, mental illness, fairy tales, and skullduggery. How can you go wrong? The premise is interesting; you are investigating a case via short videos stored on an old desktop PC. All you have to do it piece it together with the limited tools at your disposal. Using keywords, you view the videos, seemingly at random, to pull the together the story of what happened. (There is a *trick* to viewing the videos in order.) I enjoyed the story, and the actress, Viva Siefert, is beautiful and intriguing. At the end, I am still left with questions about what really is happening, but a story that excites your imagination and curiosity after it ends is part of the fun. *** Technical issue: on the iPad, the game runs upside-down, making it impossible to use my keypad. Just saying. ***

You never win, the game never ends. You just watch videos and quit when you’re ready, with no sense of completion. The concept was of this game is so cool. But how can it just have no ending at all. I wish I hadn’t spend my money on it.

This is by far one of the best interactive art/fiction experiences I've ever had. It draws inspiration from so many sources and puts them together masterfully.

This was an interesting app that’s why I bought it in the first place. It was kind of like think of your own words to reveal more and more to the story. It is puzzling and leave you with no definite answers but with more questions. It is different than the other games I played but it is not worth $3.99, in my opinion.

If its a game, it has to be fun. Period. It leaves you in the blank, with no idea how to proceed through the game. Of course its a mystery solving game and you are ment to be kept in the dark but in a compelling and exciting way. Not like this. Isnt worth the money. Spend 7$ more, and buy limbo. Which is a game.

I played this a few years ago when it first came out, bought the app version as well as the computer, and I'm coming back to it now because I've been thinking about it. It's easily one of the most engaging games I've ever played, the storytelling and the acting have made such an impact on me that I still recommend this game to people on a regular basis. I would love to see a sequel someday, or at least a new game using the same premise.

I paid for the game over 12 hours ago, and it is still less than an eighth loaded. I thought it was a fluke, so I deleted it to re-download it, and here it is still waiting, not loading.

This really was a great game!! I was slightly disappointed though that it didn't tell you instructions in the beginning, as I spent a lot of time outside the game trying to teach myself knock code and such. I also wish there was more of an ending. After all the work I put in, I wish there was a final ending, or even an explanation. But the story was incredible and had me at times completely thinking these were real tapes!! So kudos!!

This is one of the best games available for iPhone. "Her Story" is intriguing. It will leave you hooked and determined to dig deeper to find the truth behind this tragic story.

This game is excellent. I only hope that the creators of this game come out with more games! Game layout is simple yet intriguing, game play is clever and very difficult to put down, incredibly entertaining and keeps you thinking! Also love the old computer setup. I really enjoyed this game. Please keep making games.

Played with it until I ran out of battery

Hardly! Not a game at all. More like an interactive B-grade movie. Literally. All you're doing is entering search words to bring up the next movie clip... then as you progress, you end up with the clips completely out of order. No other functions other than simply watching these interview clips, unfolding a bad story, which you can guess as if goes along. There is a 1990s version of a tile game in the background which is completely out of date and boring, and a chat window pops up at the end to close the "story." Not worth a penny.
